Wedding Photos and Video

Typical of an artistic haven such as Salt Spring, there are several local wedding photographers and videographers. Aside from the brimming talent pool to choose from, hiring a local to capture your images gives you the advantage of their inside knowledge of the most appropriately picturesque location for your shoot.

Wedding Planners

Many of the bed and breakfasts offer wedding planning services as part of your stay package. A few professional wedding coordinators are also available. These folks will help you find vendors, locations and accommodations for your event. And they’re there to keep all of the elements of your island wedding running smoothly.

Musicians For Hire

Choose from a smorgasbord of instrumentals (fiddle, harp, cello, saxophone, varied percussions, etc), and a bevy of live bands with vastly differing musical styles (jazz, folk, bluegrass, classical, etc). Or simply hire a DJ to play your favorite selections.

A good game of golf prior to the wedding seems to be tradition among grooms and their groomsmen/brothers/dads… their other guy folk. It’s probably best they find something to keep themselves out of trouble while the bride and her entourage prepare. Salt Spring has a beautiful 9 hole golf course which is open year-round (weather permitting, of course).

Go Green!

With it’s thriving natural surroundings, Salt Spring Island is a destination begging for visitors to be mindful of their activities. Consider ways to lessen the environmental impact of your wedding celebration with our green wedding ideas!
